Ok guys, for one thing, this isn't a virus, it's a worm.

Secondly, any computer that recieves updates from Microsoft, are pretty much safe, since Conflicker blockes any site that attempts to upgrade the computer or any site which can remove the WORM.

An easy way to check to see if you have the Conflicker Worm is to go to www.symantic.com, click on the Conflicker banner in the middle of the page, and if you can read the page that comes up, you are pretty much safe.

This worm activated itself on April 1st by contacting the specific servers it was supposed to. It updated itself to make more more difficult to remove.

This worm has the potential to turn all the infected computers into "zombie" computers. Which means the computer is at the mercy of the person behind the worm. Anything can be done, making your computer connect to certain sites, turn on any periphials such as webcams and so on. It can also steal any financial information on the computer.

Just because nothing noticable happened on the first, doesn't mean that nothing will happen in the future with the worm. Yes, the April 1st activation might be suspisous, but maybe that's what the person(s) wanted people to think.

I actually had this worm.. I did open my windows and I did do some stuff for like 10secs, then my pc went super slow. I did try ctrl+alt+delete and see all process, but there wasnt anything wrong. I did find that worm WITH MY AVAST! Its not bad program, but the worm did broke files from my windows and I had to format my pc once again. Hate this kinda worms, but I have had more bad worms on my pc, this aint from hardest worms to destroy.

Flu, the most weird problem was that I had just formated my pc and installed some necessary programs when it camed. I DIDNT EVEN GET CHANGE TO DOWNLOAD ANY PORN lol

16 million computers will get hit by the worm, but those 16 million computers doesn't mean It includes my computer :D So I'll just wait and see what happens.
