ALERT!!! CONFICKER VIRUS MASSIVE ATTACKS THIS MONTH!!!

Hey guys i got news from Yahoo.com that conficker virus has successfully shut downed thousands of computers online and it is clear that it will attack at full force starting April. It can Rob usernames, passwords and many more or turn your computer into a Spam sending zombie machine

Ive found out that ESET has the solution.
If your infected with Conficker go to this site:
http://www.eset.eu/press-conficker-x-removal
and download Conficker Removal tool.

So far i found only 1 Conficker Worm in one of my Disks but it is removed by my new ESET anti-virus(your right Avast! sucks!)

also, how do you know yuji that the site your giving doesnt actually give the virus itself? scaring your into believing that you have the virus so you will download a virus remover

IT Client and Security Services is on top of virus threat featured on 60 Minutes

A March 29 segment on the television program “60 Minutes” reported that millions of PCs worldwide may be infected with the “Conficker” worm. Like other viruses, the Conficker worm is designed to infiltrate a PC in order to discover critical personal information -- like bank account numbers, passwords and social security numbers. According to news report, there is some indication that the Conficker worm may be launched April 1 on computers already infected with the virus.

Duke Computers Protected

The IT Client and Security Services group wants employees to know that this worm has been contained and cleaned from the Duke network.

"All company laptops and workstations are well-protected against this threat," said Larry Lauer, director, IT Security Strategy and Standards. "We’ve been tracking this virus since it was first reported by Microsoft in October 2008. We utilize McAfee anti-virus software that continually provides automatic updates to counteract this worm and other malware threats."

According to Lauer, there has been a decrease in the number of systems infected on the Internet for the following reasons:

* Owners of infected systems have cleaned their computer systems
* The patch for the Conficker worm has now been widely deployed by Microsoft (via their consumer update site) and organizations across the globe
* Newly delivered Windows systems come with the Conficker patch pre-installed.

Checking a Home Computer for Conficker Worm

If a home computer is installed with anti-virus protection (e.g., McAfee, Norton) that provides regular updates, it most likely is protected from the Conficker virus. IT Client and Security Services offers this quick test to ensure protection. If the following Web sites can be accessed, the computer is protected.

If these sites cannot be opened, it's because the virus is blocking access. If this occurs, learn how to become protected. "

I know that they don't give me the Conficker, recently my ESET NOD32 anti-virus detected one Conficker Worm on one of my Disks and if it gives me the conficker, it suppose to be Quarantined or detected by me ESET NOD32 Anti-virus.

well guys i know that this aint no joke, heard it on the radio from some computer expert and this virus stuff is no joke.


BUT, this virus hasnt just come out on april fools, it apparently has been around since late last year, and also my brother told me about it a couple of days ago
also, its only become big now because they tweaked it so that it could be as dangerous as it is now

ESET had been watching the development of the Conficker Worm now and giving its users updates to keep it from coming, we are lucky #!c3 .

For all those who are using ESET NOD32 Anti-virus, Norton 2009 anti-virus and McAfee anti-virus, you are safe from this worm. But for Avast and AVG and others, not so sure about it.

ive got AVG and ive been fine so far

easy to use and good.
but it doesn't remove all virus from your computer
example TrojaHorse and Worm are hard to get removed with AVG
