Joining Etpro server - punkbuster server issue

i get kicked upon 5-10 seconds on joining this server. i tried everything to get into an ETpro server with PB, i tried:

updated PB with pbsetup
added pb to firewall exceptions
ensured pb was enabled
changed my name to all standard letters

and this is the screenshot i managed to get:

same problem. only 1 diffrence is between us, i have given up.

was trying to join the GUN server for sd scrim and training for a try-out, i had no luck so i couldn't join, if anyone can help, please tell meeeee

That doesn't really help... send a ticket to evenbalance.

Did you join Through Xfire?

Well that's the standard message everyone gets when they join a PB server.

If it still kickes you, have someone in there when you get kicked, have them take a screenshot, and post it.

Other than that, the SS you provided is a standard PB message everyone gets when they enter the server.

Or you could have hack :<

Sometimes it kicks if you have invalid carachters in the name. So like letters from ASCII

Tell me how do you start ET? What windows version you have. I had some problem aswell when I installed my new computer but its fixed now.

i have the same kind of problem but its really weird xD
when i go on etpro it says you name contains a wrong word please change it in 30 seconds. it was my old name mindblower.

Change your name in your profile. That will solve that problem

i got a ETpro problem too

k and i think it's the same thing

okey i copy the ip address from xfire
open et by the et icon on the desktop

then im writing /connect (ip) in console
and connect up

when i get on the server. im about 10 sec on it
then i get disconnected from the server

and i dont know the reason to that.
and the message is something "you have been disconnected from the server"
or something like that..

i will take a SS off it when i try to play on ETpro..

Is it only on ETpro u got pb problems?

it's only at etpro

on 2.60 i dont have the problem
but on 2.55 when i try to connect to our
etpro server i get disconnected all the time.

On Windows Vista just being logged in as Admin is not enough. To
start the file with Admin rights on Vista, select the PBSVC executable
and right click it. Select "Properties", then the "Compatibility" tab.
From that tab, check the box labeled "Run this program as an
Administrator" and click OK.


Follow the install process and make sure it installs correctly.
After that you will be able to play the game without the need of Admin
rights. You only need to follow these steps only once (not for every PB
supported game and not on each game start).


Please make sure you allow the service files in security software
like virus scanners and/or firewalls. You will need to allow/unblock
the services PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe from your
"C:\Windows\system32\" (or "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\" on 64bit systems)
folder. In case of doubt, manually add both to your firewall's allow
list. After the installation process you will only find PnkBstrA, so
just make sure this process file is not blocked. Then try playing on a
PB enabled server, in case of a kick, check if PnkBstrB was created and
unblock it too.
