Idea for promotions

I had an idea, that to receive a promotion, a player may 'earn' votes from leaders/co-leaders/recruiters/HAC's.. ( you get the message xD )

and maybe 5 votes could result in a possible promotion, for example, if a player does a good deed and a recruiter+ spots this, he may cast a vote on a player, and leave a reason, so the same thing isn't voted for twice, this would be a 'private' sub-section of the forum for recruiters + and also negative votes can be given for bad judgement/behaviour, decreasing total standing votes by 1, when a player receives a promotion, the votes are reset to 0.

ofc, standard promotions would still be there, if someone has been extremely active, polite, friendly etc, promoted with less or no votes as a standard promotion.

what do you guys think? we have a similar system in Guild Medieval for squires --> Knights, 3-5 votes ( depending on the person and any negative feedback ) determines when the player is 'knighted'

it's just another crazy $pl@$h idea, shoot it down if you must xD

i think it's a pretty cool idea, don't know if sumpremes go for it or not. obviously, there needs to be a limit and a justification for each vote

Glad you guys like it and yeah laggy, there would have to be boundries and valid reasons for a vote, like you couldn't just vote for someone because you like them or they're a good friend etc.

anyway.. a kind of this system
is used in grey i think..they vote who of the
members will be promoted for example to lvl 18
they let the members vote..but the final decision is
still by the leaders..!

I like it how it is now, but yah i think when some1 cast the vote co-ldrs + discuss on is it worthit

@ knak, ofc there would be boundries on what a vote should be given for, but 5 votes? quite a while to obtain, and ofc with higher ranks there would be more discussion, but to get from level 11-16 it would take 25 votes, that's quite a lot imo and would take months to achieve

Yes ok but owners and HAC don't know every GDC's members ! How can they vote if they don't know the player ?

depends on the size of the server, i know all my members, well most, discluding the ones that are super inactive

that's simple Kn(A]K, if they don't know you then they can't vote for you obviously, if and when they're on and they see good deeds or good behaviour, upholding rules, activeness, courtesy etc then a vote may be cast or feedback given and voted on the second encounter if the same good behaviour is seen.

We will not allow this system. Its great to see ideas coming up, so keep them coming. We wont allow it because it will make friends get promos faster or well if i am a bad guy i only have to do some good things to earn promotion. Also its hard to keep track of those votes.
