Idea for server rules

I was just thinking, could we put GDC RULES onto ''esc'' options? press esc and we have rules?, i've seen it on kamario i think, good idea, good for referring people to if they don't know the rules, or those that are breaking the rules can be reminded that the rules are only a button and a click away, can this be done?

Well if u know a clan or server has that PM me the IP and i will visited and find out how to implemented in our clan.

I think its a great idea. You have to edit the pk3 server files for the specific mod. For every mod you need to edit it again. But its simple just copy past them for different mods. Only you have to understand the way it has to be written. I know how i can add a menu but it should make a popup appear with rules in it.
With Whaleclient like we use for etpub is it possible. For jaymod it works the same.

i think you should put in GDC Rules in the pk3 file as rooky said
(there where quit, option etc etc are)

and then make a nice document and put all rules in there.

it's just knowing how to do it that's the problem
if you can't figure it out Rooky or others,
lmk and i'll scout around, see if i can see any servers with it on the Esc menu
and ask how they do it, it's np

i think we have some pretty smart ppl
in our clan..
so the main idea is great..but
maybe we can make it as command..!
for example !rules [player] [time]
then there is a pop up..which shows
the player the rules..and in time you write the
time limit he gets frozen so he need
to read the rules..! after the time limit
run down..he can play again..and the pop up will
go away..!

is this possible!?

I am writing the sourcecode as we speak. I hope it will work out. I need some time for it, so dont expect to see it tomorrow allready.

Editting the sourcecode is illegal, since it aint an open source. I must wait till I got permission.

Creating custom commands isnt possible for Jaymod servers.

EDIT: Making the new menu as we speak. There has to be some testing before it can be placed. If its all gonna work it will take a week to apply those.

Right, i did some mooching, FUN servers have forum rules in their esc options, thats the idea i was thinking of for our server rules, they have a forum:

if one of our higher admins wanna take a look at their website and maybe ask there how they do it, this might be useful and help this idea be implemented
