A recruiter's job + a level 12 quiz.

Okay, these above are the sort of recruitmend rules we have right now. I have a suggestion to these.

Point 1 is being done well and nicely I believe.
Point 2 is fine
Point 3 is bullshit (see below of explanation)
Point 4 is for my feeling not being done.
Point 5 isn't done, as 4 hardly isn't
Point 6 is fine

About point 3,4,5: Even though GDC may grow by day. I see a lot of unhappiness. I propose to scrap point 3. It doesn't matter how bad GDC members may shoot, but it seems to be more important than that they know the rules. All of you know it should be the other way around. That's why I suggest to start a recruiting "quiz". Recruiters won't spectate a person anymore for skill, but will ask them questions. Questions about what an aimbot is for example. I can give a quick scheme how I think it should look like later. But I notice more and more people comming here in GDC, who doesn't got a clue what to do as admin. These are bad recruits, but I can't really pick them out here and there, as some recruiters recruit so many people, I lose track of them.

Also we still have a lot of levels, and I don't really see enough difference between level 10 and 15 in commands. That's why I have another idea. If a person wants to be promoted to level 12, he can ask a (co)leader for a quiz. This guy will give him a quiz about the rules here, how to be a good admin. It's sort of the same procedure as it is with recruiting. Only this one should be a lot tougher, and aren't pre-asked questions. So people will get a different one.

Please post your opinions, positive or negative, I will reply on questions or negative ones.

he's trying to say that although being a good aim and killer is good, its more important to know the rules well and to be active on forums etc.
im super active on forums and aint the sharpest shooter

As me and First and Slow made those rules,I made the count of 2/1 kd ratio
and 25+ acc low,you wanna know why it's that low.Well my answer
is that we have it there because it shows that they have experience in
the game atleast a little,so they know more stuff,then a really new person.
Even though Not many people still play this game.I suggest leave the rules
as is.

but anyway, these rules are more of a guideline than absolutes. if there's a guy with a charming personality and great experience as a high admin, who gives a fuck if he can't shoot?

If you see perfectly.Anyone can get 2/1 k/d and 25+ acc,a freaking panzer
can get that too,that's why it's so low,if they have atleast that then they
have played the game for a while,and they atleast know more than
a new person,who will want to play the game 20 questions.

you dont have to play ET for a while to be good enough to get 2/1. ive got a mate who when he got ET, within about 2 weeks would have been able to get 2/1 with ease

however recruiters aint gonna recruit people for getting 2/1 with a flamethrower or panzer

I am playing this game for a while, and countless of times I am not getting a 2/1 k/d. I don't see it as a thing to check the experience, because a total dumbass with totally no knowlegde of commands and the console could do it. Not saying that I am good and home in the console, but it could be much worse. If he is experienced, he could still get 1/2 k/d, but he would be able to define a bot for you, tell us simple binds, etc. Those are the members we need.

All,suggestions are complaints.if you look at the definition for each word,
it's relatively close.

True, but no matter with how many people you think such stuff through, you will nearly always get a little point you forgot.

You thought this through and tried it. I see more and more bad admins comming in our servers. Now we're having a nice time with a bunch of nice admins here on the forum, but at the server it's much worse. I am not saying you did a bad thing, but perhaps trying to put it back another way will help more?

guys..and that they know
how to use commands..or how
to handle different situations..

5 quest. or something like that..:
1. what is an aimbotter
2. what is wallhack
3. what is BOS
4. do you promise to be active on forum and server
5. do you promise to learn and follow the rules

They always say yes! at the beginning,but when you look at it.
They usually don't,after they said yes,look at all the owner

1) Can you define an aimbot (an Aimbot is a program which automatically aims your aim, so the only think you have to do is shoot)
2) What is the difference between an aimbot and a wallhack (An aimbot is to have an automised aim, a wallhack makes you look through walls.)
3) How do you use commands (Put a ! before a command you have. Like !Kick person
4) How can you change rate, maxpackets in the console? (/cl_maxpackets (number), /rate (number)
5) Name 4 rules of our server (Don't walljump over the Old City wall and sort that other sort of major objective walls (yes the definition of the rule seems vague to me), Don't cheat, respect all players, don't use glitches, don't use bad language)\

I am not saying these questions should be used but these could be examples. Probably some won't know the answers, but they can find it at google in no-time. If we let them return at the level 12 quiz (only then with more questions) we will know for sure they'll remember them.

make a 10 question quiz..on every server base..
there you can show that you
know the rules..and that you deserve to get
promoted..! and if you passed the quiz or

pm..so no other members can see the solutions..!

This is just an opinion of a temporarily inactive member, but I think everybody should keep in mind that GDC is not a job, or an education where you have to pass an exam in order to be able to join.

Obviously you want to maintain a certain degree of player quality. But as GDC needs members, I would suggest applying such tests only to higher levels (for example 16 and higher). This way you make sure that the people 'who are in charge' have certain qualities that make them suitable for such a position.

Being very strict makes it impossible for people who are just playing for the fun of it to join. People who do not necessairily care about levels etc, but still are loyal to GDC / the GDC servers and want to be part of this great clan.

b.t.w. I think the same applies to the whole language discussion. I think there are plenty of young kids that are not fluent in English (or even on a low level). But give them at least the opportunity to learn, and set fluency in English as a prerequisite for higher admin levels. Think about how non-native Enlish speaking people learned to speak English in the first place, by practicing....

I don't feel like quoting your whole post, but I enterily disagree with you.

I think GDC should be some kind of job. You're an admin, you should keep the server's peace. If people like our server and just want to play. Then just register at our forum, post in entertainment and such and play on our sever. You're enjoying yourself, us, don't have responsiblities and if you do something wrong, you won't give GDC a bad name. I would still like you, be your friend. There's only 1 difference. I have a little more responsiblity than you do, but does that matter? I shouldn't even have to use admin if others would be more nice to eachother.

I don't mind give people some space and freedom, but as Bazooka once said: Freedom isn't free!
